BRICS Countries Nurses Forum

BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) represent more than 40% of the world’s population and about 40% of global disease burden, while playing an increasingly important role in global health affairs. The nursing cooperation of the BRICS countries will be of significance to the global diseases prevention and improving people’s health in BRICS countries.

Although the national situation varies, the BRICS countries face many common health challenges. The National Nurses Associations of BRICS countries are full members of International Council of Nurses and are committed for promotion of nursing cooperation among the BRICS countries.

Based on mutual support, mutual learning and mutual respect for cultural differences, the BRICS National Nurses Associations agree to establish a long term cooperative partnership through discussion and friendly consultation; coordinate positions in international organizations and setting and lead the international nursing development; strengthen academic exchanges on nursing science in various fields; jointly support national health development and promote nursing and health services development.
